In other roster news, the Minnesota Vikings have acquired defensive tackle Ross Blacklock from the Houston Texans. According to reports the Vikings sent a sixth to Houston for Blacklock and a seventh round pick. The move is salary cap based as the Vikings have cut defensive tackle Armon Watts and his $2.54 million contract and subbed in Blacklock with his $1.33 million contract. Blacklock was a second round pick in the 2020 NFL draft and played in 29 games with three starts for Houston.
He has a total of 36 career tackles, two sacks, two pass breakups and a forced fumble.
