Vikings defensive end Danielle Hunter does not report to mandatory team minicamp

Minnesota Vikings defensive end Danielle Hunter has not reported to the team’s mandatory minicamp and is holding out for a new contract. According to reports, Hunter is seeking a new contract and is frustrated over alleged trade calls the team has been considering prior to this part of the offseason. Hunter is currently on a five-year $72 million contract and is set to make $5.5 million in base salary in 2023, 40th among NFL edge rushers. Hunter, returning from missing a season due to a pectoral injury, had 10.5 sacks last season, ranking him eighth among edge rushers.
