Minnesota Vikings Ring of Honor member and longtime defensive end Jim Marshall has advanced for consideration to be elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. On Wednesday the 12-person senior committee announced 31 semifinalists for the class of 2024 have been announced. A separate committee will now consider the semifinalists before advancing 12 senior and 12 coach/contributor candidates scheduled to be announced on July 27th. Marshall played 19 seasons with the Vikings, never missing a game in that time. He played in 19 playoff games and four Super Bowls. He is the only defensive end in the semifinalist group and has been credited with 130.5 career sacks.
