Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell addresses personnel at mandatory team activities

The Minnesota Vikings have reported to mandatory organized team activities this week and begin preparing for the 2023 NFL season.

Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell took time to address the media at OTA’s and talked about players currently not in the building.

First, O’Connell addressed the situation with defensive end Danielle Hunter. Hunter has not yet reported to these mandatory team activities, likely due to being unhappy with his current contract.

O’Connell says he and Vikings general manager Kwesi Adolfo-Mensa are “solutions oriented” when it comes to situations like these…

O’Connell then spoke about now departed running back Dalvin Cook. The Vikings late last week released the veteran running back.

O’Connell wished Cook the best as he looks for a new situation in free agency…

O’Connell says he is confident the Vikings running back situation will not miss a beat despite losing a star like Cook…
