Vikings leadership group holds end of the year press conference

The Minnesota Vikings held their end of the year press conference Wednesday at the team’s practice facility. Taking part in the press conference was Vikings general manager Kwesi Adolfo-Mensa and head coach Kevin O’Connell.

Adolfo-Mensa said the team failed in its championship goals, but the people are in place to move forward in the right direction…

O’Connell says the team needs to continue forward bringing a champions mentality in everything they do…

The question of personnel came up, both players and coaching staff. The Vikings defense failed to get things done in multiple games, including in the wild card playoff loss.

O’Connell would not say whether or not defensive coordinator Ed Donatell would return, but instead said everything will be evaluated…

Several longtime Vikings could also be on the way out due to age, ability, contract and more. Guys like wide receiver Adam Thielen and safety Harrison Smith.

Adolfo-Mensa talked about those football decisions that could be tough to make, but necessary to move the team forward…
