For the third time in as many years, the Vikings are executing a Week 9 trade to offset a Week 8 injury.
This time, Minnesota (5-2) has agreed to terms to acquire left tackle Cam Robinson and a 2026 conditional seventh-round pick from the Jacksonville Jaguars in exchange for a 2026 conditional fifth-round pick. The trade is pending Robinson passing a physical.
Robinson has started all 91 regular-season games he’s played for the Jaguars squad that drafted him in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft, including Week 1 of his rookie season.
The former Alabama product made an immediate impact, helping Jacksonville lead the NFL in rushing for the first time in franchise history. That squad also only allowed 24 sacks, the fewest in a season by Jacksonville. The Jaguars rode that momentum and advanced to the AFC Championship Game.
Robinson has started all seven games he’s played this season, playing 367 offensive snaps and 22 on special teams. He has only had one penalty accepted (one false start) this season.
According to analytics site Pro Football Focus, Robinson ranks 31st among tackles with a 69.4 offense grade this season (min. 200 total snaps). Darrisaw was 10th with an 81.4.
Robinson is 35th with a 72.2 pass block grade among tackles (min. 100 pass block snaps). Darrisaw was 16th at 79.9.
