The Minnesota Vikings have traded a sixth round to the Arizona Cardinals for quarterback Josh Dobbs. Along with Dobbs, the Vikings receive a seventh round pick from Arizona. Through eight starts this season Dobbs is 167 for 266 passes, for 1,569 yards, eight touchdowns and five interceptions for a passer rating of 81.2. The move comes as the team places starter Kirk Cousins on the Injured Reserve with an Achilles tendon tear. Rookie quarterback Jaren Hall is expected to start Sunday against Atlanta with Dobbs being brought in to serve as depth and an insurance policy should Hall not be able to perform.
