The Minnesota Vikings have traded draft picks to the Los Angeles Rams in exchange for running back Cam Akers. According to reports the Vikings and Rams will swap late round picks for the running back. Akers is a former second round draft pick who helped the rams win the Super Bowl in 2022. During that season he rushed for a career high 786 yards and seven touchdowns. Since then Akers has often been on the outs with Rams coaching and at times been a healthy scratch. He will join a Vikings running back group who has struggled to move the ball on offense and comes into week three 0-2.
