Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson breaks NFL record for most receiving yards in first five years of career

Justin Jefferson has set another record.

And in Music City, no less.

The phenom receiver set an NFL record Sunday for the most receiving yards by an NFL player in his first five seasons.

Jefferson reached the mark on his fifth catch of the game, a 25-yard reception with less than seven minutes remaining in the third quarter. He added a 10-yard reception later during the possession, moving the ball to the 3-yard line.

Minnesota scored on the following play with a pass from Sam Darnold to Cam Akers, making it 23-10 Vikings with 3:15 remaining in the third quarter.

Jefferson entered the game needing 55 to break the mark of 6,784 set by Torry Holt from 1999-2003.

Holt eclipsed Pro Football Hall of Famer and Vikings Ring of Honor member Randy Moss (6,743 from 1998-2002).
