Voters in the Castlewood school district voted in favor of a $6 million bond measure to make improvements to the high school in Castlewood after a tornado caused significant damage to it in May of 2022. The vote passed via a 315 votes for yes and 210 votes for no. The bond needed a 60 percent approval to pass. Previously, voters in the Castlewood school districted voted down a referendum regarding this $6 million bond while waiting for the final settlement from the insurance company before considering additional funding.
