The Alzheimer’s Association will host the annual “Walk to end Alzheimer’s” in Aberdeen this Sunday September 24th at Anderson Park. Registration begins at 1:00 p.m. with opening ceremonies commencing at 2:00 p.m. The walk will immediately follow. The walk will happen rain or shine, but if there is inclement weather registration and opening ceremonies will take place in the lower level of the Aberdeen Senior Center. According to the Alzheimer’s Association, more than 6 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s. In South Dakota, there are more than 18,000 people living with the disease and over 26,000 caregivers for those suffering.
