Yankton man pleads guilty to manslaughter charges

A Yankton man has pleaded guilty to manslaughter charges. According to South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley’s office, 32-year-old Adrian Lund pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter in connection to the stabbing death of 33-year-old Timber Cournoyer. Lund has changed his plea a number of times before this agreement. Cournoyer was found on May 22nd 2023 with stab wounds to her chest in a Yankton residents. She would die at a hospital due to her injuries. Lund will be sentenced February 16th with his plea agreement stating prosecutors will ask for 85 years in prison.
