Yankton police investigating person found dead Monday

Yankton police are investigating a death within the city Monday. According to the Yankton police department, officers were called to the 700 block of Walnut avenue. Upon arrival, officers found a female victim who was seriously injured and officers attempted to render medical aid. The victim was transported to a local hospital where should would ultimately die due to her injuries. Police have named a suspect in this case, Adrian Vaughn Lund. Lund was wanted by police for a time, but is now in custody.
