Young girl killed in Lake County boating accident Monday

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office reports a young girl was killed Monday afternoon in a boating accident. According to the Sheriff’s department, the incident occurred Monday afternoon on Lake Madison when a jet ski collided with a young girl on an innertube. Eye witnesses a nurse and doctor was on the scene within moments, but life saving efforts failed and she was pronounced dead at the scene. No further details were released and the investigation is ongoing led by South Dakota Game Fish and Parks.
