South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley has announced 11 people, including seven inmates have been indicted for a November 2025 drug overdose that lead to the death of an inmate at the Mike Durfee State Prison. The victim in this case was 46-year-old Timothy Tyree who died while in custody on November 17th after ingesting K2. The individuals charged include:

Faces a combined maximum sentence of 60 years in prison or jail.

Faces a combined maximum sentence of 15 years in prison or jail. He was an inmate at the time the crime was committed.
