About The Shark

The Shark is a 50,000-watt, Killer Hits, Adult Hits station that plays the biggest rock and pop hits spanning the past 40 years, along with an even bigger dose of entertainment designed to target the coveted 25-54-year-old audience.

The Shark keeps the listeners entertained all day with giveaways, games, special features, and more!

The Shark broke the mold of your typical radio station in this market by keeping with the newest technology and being the first station in the market to stream 24/7 at dakotabroadcasting.com. It was also the first to utilize the RDS scrolling song title technology.

The Shark also knows that not all farmers are country listeners. That’s why they keep them up to date with opening and closing grain and livestock markets from the Red River Farm Network.

107.7 Personalities

Mark Besozzi

Besozzi in the Mornings on 107.7 KABD-FM

My name is Mark Anthony Besozzi. I was offered the Morning Show on 107.7 “The Shark” and relocated to Aberdeen from the Chicagoland area of Illinois. When the Dakota Broadcasting employment offer was presented to me, I did not hesitate to accept the on-air position.

I was born in Steubenville, Ohio, the birthplace of entertainer Dean Martin. The Upper Ohio Valley area is where I began my radio career back in the early 1980s. I relocated to Illinois where I lived for years working in various media arenas including radio broadcasting, voice-over, feature film, television, and video. However, my true love and passion will, and always be as an on-air RADIO personality.

I’m excited to work with the talented Dakota Broadcasting team in Aberdeen and plant my roots for many years to come. Aberdeen is a great place, and the people are very friendly.

Listen Monday thru Friday, 6 am to 10 am to catch my high-energy morning show on 107.7 The Shark. I go by the air name, “BESOZZI in the Morning.

Afternoons with Curt Campbell on 107.7 KABD-FM

I was born in southwest Missouri in the early 1970’s. I was raised in the small town of Carthage. Carthage is most famous for the marble that is mined there. I began my career in radio in Carthage in 1991. After seven years I moved to Fayetteville, Arkansas in 1998 and in 2004 met my wife Melissa and moved to Aberdeen. I have two children, and I love being in Aberdeen.

Adam St. Paul

Information Director

I am the information director at Dakota Broadcasting, covering news and sports while providing play-by-play and color commentary. I am from the small town of Wheaton, Minnesota, which is located on the way western side of the state, right next to North and South Dakota. I have wanted to work in radio since I was in high school and got my first experience doing the Wheaton High School news on a local radio station. I went to college at North Dakota State in Fargo where I graduated with a degree in broadcast journalism. I was the news director at the campus radio station KNDS for two years and was heavily involved in sports while I was there as well. I came to Aberdeen from O’Neill, Nebraska, the official Irish Capital of Nebraska, where I was the sports director for KBRX radio. I’ve enjoyed my time here in Aberdeen mostly because the people in the community have made me feel so at home. You can hear me every morning on both our morning shows providing both news and sports. You will also hear me doing play-by-play and color commentary for local sports when the season gets going again.
