The Aberdeen City Council at its regular meeting Monday approved a three-year agreement with the union representing city employees. The union representing city employees is the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Council 65.

The agreement includes Salary grid adjustments consistent with a wage study completed in 2024 with pay increases effective at the beginning of each year. Allowing member input regarding market wage adjustment and incentives, establishing overtime compensatory time provisions, allowing fair compensation or on-call employees and more.
