An Aberdeen man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison on conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance charges. According to the US Attorney for South Dakota 42-year-old Calvin Taylor was sentenced to 25-years, five years supervised release, a fine and a $100 special assessment to the Federal Crime Victims Fund. Taylor was indicted by a federal grand jury in November of 2024 and pleaded guilty in June of 2025. Taylor was accused of having packages of methamphetamine mailed to multiple addresses in Aberdeen from a California source.
