Aberdeen police arrest a suspect for reckless discharge of a firearm Tuesday night

The Aberdeen Police Department reports a suspect identified only as a 26-year-old male was arrested Tuesday for reckless discharge of a firearm. According to police, officers were called to an apartment complex in the 1000 block of 7th avenue southeast at approximately 10:50 p.m. on reports of shots being fired. The caller claimed a bullet traveled through their wall, into their apartment. Police investigated the incident and determined the shot had come from the neighboring apartment. Officers were required to obtain a search warrant, used a drone to locate the suspect first, before safely taking him into custody.
