APB assists Brown County Deputies on “high risk” stop Saturday morning




The Aberdeen Police Department responded to a high risk traffic stop Saturday morning. According to the Aberdeen Police Department, officers were called to assist deputies with the Brown County Sheriff’s department around 11:00 p.m. Saturday near the 200 block of South Park Street. Upon arrival law enforcement began speaking with the driver of a vehicle known to have felony warrants and a female passenger. Police claim the passenger got out of the vehicle and it was confirmed the suspect had a weapon. The area was contained by police and negotiations began. According to police at approximately 1:30 a.m. The subject agreed to peacefully exit the vehicle. He was arrested and is being held in the Brown County Jail on several warrants and charges related to the incident.
