Authorities in Hamlin county investigating drowning death Sunday

Authorities in Hamlin county are investigating a drowning death which occurred Sunday. According to the Hamlin county Sheriff’s Office, emergency crews were dispatched at approximately 7:36 p.m. Sunday night near an area of Bluejay Street just east of Lake Norden. Reports were a juvenile and a man were drowning on Lake Mary. Upon arrivial crews located both individuals. The juvenile was transported to a hospital where they received medical care. First responders attempted life saving measures on the adult male, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of those involved was not released and the situation remains under investigation.
