Authorities are investigating shots fired near Humboldt South Dakota Saturday which left a 19-year-old injured. According to the Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office, law enforcement was dispatched to mile marker 397 on I 90 on reports of a 19-year-old male with a gunshot wound.

One victim was taken to a local hospital with life threatening injuries. Officers say the preliminary investigation determined the shots were fired during a juvenile party at a short term rental at a rural address outside of Humboldt. No suspect has been identified yet.
