Brown County Commission approves demolition of Home Arts Building at Brown County Fairgrounds

The Brown County Commission at its regular meeting Tuesday voted to proceed with the demolition of the competitive arts building on the Brown County Fairgrounds. The demolition will take place in the coming weeks. This comes after weeks of a small but passionate group of Brown County residents attempted to save the building due to its historical significance. In its place a new 4-H building will be built with modern amenities including a full kitchen, meeting rooms, air conditioning and more. The estimated cost of the new building will be approximately $3 million.
