Case against Joseph Hoek, the man accused of killing Moody County Chief Deputy Sheriff Ken Prorok moving forward after Hoek confirmed able to stand trial

(Kelo.com – Sioux Falls, SD) The case against the man accused of killing Moody County Chief Deputy Sheriff Ken Prorok is moving forward.

Attorney General Marty Jackley is pursuing the death penalty against Joseph Hoek, who’s accused of intentionally running down Deputy Prorok while he was trying to elude police in a high-speed chase.

So far, Jackley says the defense has not tried to have Hoek declared unfit to stand trial…

In addition to the hearing scheduled for later this month, a pre-trial conference is scheduled for October third, just prior to the October 14th trial date.
