City issues snow removal alert for February 18th

The City of Aberdeen has issued a snow removal alert for Thursday February 19th. Plowing on posted emergency snow routes will begin at 6:00a .m. Thursday. Plowing on north-south streets in zone 2 and plowing of all streets and avenues in zone 3 will begin at 7:00 a.m.

Plowing on east-west avenues in Zone 2 will begin at 1:00 p.m. Thursday. Plowing in the commercia zone (zone 1) will begin at 10:00 p.m. Thursday.

Plowing of city parking lots will begin at 7:00 a.m. Thursday.

Cars parked on the streets after the stated time and before snow is cleared curb to curb will be ticketed and cars towed to another street. The city reminds residents it is unlawful for any person to shovel or blade the snow removed into the street at any time, except in Zone 1.
