Citywide mosquito ground spray scheduled for Tuesday in Aberdeen




The Mosquito Control Division of the City of Aberdeen has announced a city-wide ground spray for mosquitoes scheduled for Tuesday July 29th between the hours of 8:45 p.m. And 1:00 a.m. The adulticiding equipment is noisy and travels at 10 miles per hour. Mosquito control trucks can be identified by their flashing yellow lights. To ensure spray effectiveness winds must be 15 miles per hour or lower during the spraying operation and no inclement weather present. Should winds be above 15 miles per hour or inclement weather present, the spray will be suspended until conditions improve. Mosquito control has identified the West Nile Virus in Aberdeen mosquito pools and encourages residents to protect themselves from West Nile by removing standing water from your property, applying insect repellent, limiting outdoor activity in the morning and at dusk and
