The South Dakota Class A Legion baseball regular season has completed and with that the regional playoffs are set. Winners of these three game series will qualify for the state tournament July 29th through August 2nd in Watertown. The Aberdeen Smittys have earned the #13 seed and will take on #4 seed Brandon Valley in the first round. The games will be played Thursday in Brandon Valley. Other region matchups include #15 Spearfish @ #1 Rapid City Post 22, #14 Sturgis @ #2 Yankton, #12 Sioux Falls West vs. #5 Renner, #11 Rapid City Post 320 @ #6 Sioux Falls East, #10 Huron @ #7 Pierre, #9 Brookings @ #8 Harrisburg Gold and #3 Watertown has automatically qualified for the state tournament as they are the host team.
