South Dakota Secretary of State Monae Johnson has announced Nikki Gronli has successfully been placed on the ballot for the US House of Representatives primary election as a Democrat. The election will be held June 2nd. Democrats running for US House need 1,232 valid signatures. Gronli’s signatures came back with 87.3 percent being valid, or 1,844. She is running unopposed for the Democrat nomination as her only other opponent Billy Mawhiney of Sioux Falls dropped out earlier this year. She will likely square off with Republican Marty Jackley who is running unopposed for the Republican nomination for US House.
