According to Keloland News, Feeding South Dakota is asking lawmakers to consider appropriating $3 million for the organization in the state’s 2026 budget. Currently, Feeding South Dakota does not receive any state funding for its operation. According to Feeding South Dakota’s web site, the program in 2024 provided 11.7 million meals accross the state.
