(KWAT – Watertown, SD) Watertown Fire Rescue was called out to a house fire just before 7:30 last night.
The fire was in a single-family home at 1220 6th Avenue Northwest.
Flames were showing from a bedroom window as fire crews arrived.
They were able to contain the fire damage to that bedroom and a hallway.
All occupants of the home were safely accounted for. However, a secondary search of the home discovered that a family pet had died in the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
