Former AG Mark Vargo appointed to be the attorney for Officers Standards and Training Commission

South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley has announced he has appointed former Attorney General Mark Vargo to ben the attorney representing the South Dakota Law Enforcement Officers Standards and Training Commission. The Commission’s job is to set minimum standards and training requirements for law enforcement officers in the state. Vargo served as Attorney General beginning in June of 2022, appointed to the position by Governor Kristi Noem following the impeachment and removal of office of Jason Ravnsborg.
