Former Governor Kristi Noem’s statue unveiling on the Trail of Governors to be delayed until August

Former Governor Kristi Noem’s statue unveiling at the Trail of Governor’s in Pierre has been delayed two months and will now take place in August. The Trial of Governors Foundation Board made the announcement earlier this week. The unveiling had been planned for Friday June 12^th and will now take place Friday August 7^th at 10:00 a.m. in Pierre. In a statement about the postponement, the Board says the change is to accommodate Noem’s schedule in her new role as US Special Envoy of the Shield of the Americas.
