Former Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen has officially announced his retirement from the NFL. He made the announcement on his social media account this week. The Detroit Lakes Minnesota native played 12 seasons in the NFL, including nine seasons in Minnesota. The DII Minnesota State Mankato wide receiver went undrafted and signed as a rookie free agent with Minnesota. He would go on to accumulate 704 catches for 8,497 yards, and 64 touchdowns. After leaving Minnesota he played two seasons in Carolina before being traded back to Minnesota, only to fish this last season in Pittsburgh.
