A former Sioux Falls daycare worker has been sentenced after accepting a plea deal in February. 38-year-old Chelsea Struss was sentenced to 25 years in prison, with 21 years suspended and 168 days of time served. Struss pleaded guilty to three of 18 original counts of child abuse as part of a plea agreement with prosecutors. She was arrested in April of 2025 after surveillance footage showed her picking up and dropping children onto mats.
