The South Dakota Department of Health reports four more people have died due top influenza this flu season. That brings the total to six state wide this flu season. According to the DOH there have been more than 5,200 cases this season and 330 hospitalizations. South Dakota health officials encourage residents to take basic precautions to avoid getting sick. That includes staying home when you are sick, avoiding others who are sick, wash hands frequently and consider getting a flu vaccine
