South Dakota Governor Larry Rhoden has announced he has received the endorsement of the Fraternal Order of Police South Dakota chapter. In a release about the group’s decision. The FOP says Governor Rhoden understands the sacrifices its members make every day. It also pointed out the Rhoden administration’s support of law enforcement by launching Operation Prairie Thunder, which is a partnership between state law enforcement and immigration and Customs Enforcement, help lead getting the new men’s state prison in place and mobilized the national guard to help deport illegal alien criminals. The South Dakota Fraternal Order of Police is the largest police association in the state and represents nearly 1500 active and retired law enforcement officers across the state.
