South Dakota Governor Larry Rhoden says the state is poised to make improvements to rural healthcare across the state.
The governor in his State of the State address to a joint session of the legislature highlighted $189 million in federal funding as part of a five-year rural health transformation plan.
Governor Rhoden talked about how the money will be used….
The plan also includes Behavioral Health Clinics and regional Emergency Medical Service hubs across the state.
The Governor is encouraging legislators authorize the funds soon, saying the federal government will reward states that move quickly.
