Inmate passes away Thursday August 28th in Mike Durfee State Prison

The South Dakota Department of Corrections has announced an inmate passed away last Thursday. According to the DOC, 65-year-old Eugene Johnson passed away on August 28^th in a comfort care setting at Mike Durfee State Prison in Springfield. Johnson was serving a sentence for the distribution of a controlled substance out of Yankton county.
