An Iowa man has been indicted on eight charges, including vehicular homicide, in the death of a 9-year-old girl in Hughes county, South Dakota. According to Attorney General Marty Jackley 38-year-old Zachary Berger of Indianola Iowa faces vehicular homicide, second degree manslaughter, abuse or cruelty to a minor, two counts DUI, two counts failure to assure a minor passenger wears a seatbelt and one count failure to wear a seatbelt. Berger was driving an ATV on the 4th of July when the crash occurred on Spring Creek Drive north of Pierre. A 9-year-old passenger died in the crash while another 16-year-old passenger sustained minor injuries.
