The GOP legislative primaries are already underway and four people are vying for two GOP nominations on the ballot this coming November. The four include incumbent Al Novstrop, two brand new candidates in Tim Hannigan and Spencer Sommers, and a familiar face to Pierre in Kaleb Weis.
Weis served two terms in the state legislature representing then District 22. He was redistricted into District 3, which encompasses much of Aberdeen in 2021 ran for re-election and was defeated in the primary.
Now Weis has decided to try and get back to Pierre representing District 3 in the State House.
