A Minnesota man died and another was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash Friday evening near Arlington, SD.
The names of the persons involved have not been released pending notification of family members.
Preliminary crash information indicates the driver of a 2016 Mercedes-Benz Metris was traveling eastbound on US 14 near mile marker 399 and crossed the center line, colliding head-on with a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 in the westbound lane.
The driver of the Mercedes died at the scene. The driver of the Chevrolet sustained serious, non-life-threatening injuries.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. All information released so far is only preliminary.
The Highway Patrol is an agency of the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.
