The Minnesota Timberwolves have announced the team will retire former Wolves great Kevin Garnett’s #21 following a game with the Boston Celtics Sunday February 28th. Garnett is set to become just the second player in Timberwolves history to have his number retired. Garnett was selected by Minnesota out of high school, 5th overall in the 1995 NBA draft. He went on to play 11 seasons in Minnesota, including being named league MVP in 2004. He also helped lead the team to its first western conference finals during the 2003-04 season.
