A Mitchell man is facing animal cruelty charges after allegedly posting a video of himself online drowning a squirrel. 73-year-old Jonathan Wilson faces one count cruelty to animals with is a class 6 felony, punishable by up to two years in prison and a fine of up to four thousands dollars. Mitchell police investigated Wilson after they were made aware of a video posted on Facebook regarding the incident. The video has since been deleted from the original poster’s Facebook account but duplications were shared across social media.
