Mitchell woman killed in hit and run incident near Humbolt

A Mitchell woman died Monday from injuries sustained in a hit and run incident. According to the South Dakota Department of Public Safety, a Chevy Traverse was eastbound on I-90 near Humboldt when she attempted to pull to the side of the road. At the same time her car was struck by an eastbound semi-truck pulling a trailer. The truck continued driving east after the accident and authorities are still trying to locate it. The driver of the Traverse was transported to a Sioux Falls hospital where she later passed away from her injuries.
