According to a new poll released by the South Dakota Public Schools Coalition and conducted by a Virginia-based market research company, a majority of respondents are against the education savings accounts proposed in HB1020. According to the poll, 500 South Dakotans were interviewed via the phone and found 58 percent of respondents opposed taking public money and putting it towards private or home school education. The poll also showed 57 percent of voters believe the public school system receives not enough funding already.
