NFL Hall-of-Famer, long time Chicago Bear and sometimes pro wrestler Steve “Mongo” McMichael has passed away at the age of 67. The NFL made the announcement Wednesday. McMichael had been diagnosed with ALS, more commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease back in 2021. McMichael played 15 NFL seasons, 13 with the Chicago Bears where he was part of the famed Bears 46 defense of the 1980s. He ranks second in franchise history with 92.5 sacks.
