Northern State president Neal Schnoor a preferred candidate to be chancellor at Nebraska-Kearney

Northern State President Neal Schnoor is one of the priority candidates to be chancellor at the University of Nebraska-Kearney. Schnoor informed the Northern State community via an email sent Tuesday, which included a press release from Nebraska-Kearney about the situation. Schnoor is a Nebraska native who has spent time as a faculty member at Nebraska-Kearney previously. Schnoor has been president at Northern since 2021. According to the board of regents, Schnoor will remain at Northern until late June assuming he receives the appointment to chancellor at Nebraksa-Kearney.
