Northern State volleyball signs SDSU transfer Maggie Meister

(NSUwolves.com) Northern State University head volleyball coach Brent Aldridge announced the addition of South Dakota State transfer Maggie Meister to the Wolves 2026 roster. Meister will join Avery Douglas (Swanville, Minn.), Misia Grudzien (Warsaw, Poland), Avery Maasdorf (Boulder, Colo.), Lydia Nelson (Madison, S.D.), Maggie Smith (St. Louis, Mo.), and Sidonia Wattier (Norfolk, Neb.) as a 2026 addition.

“I am excited about adding Maggie to the Wolves volleyball family,” noted Aldridge. “She brings some very good playing experience with her from this past season. Maggie plays the game with a passion that we have come to expect from her position at Northern State. I look forward to getting her in the gym in the spring, to start building for next fall. Go Wolves!!!”

Meister is a 5-foot-8, defensive specialist out of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. As a prep at Harrisburg High School, she was a 3-time South Dakota State Champion, 3-time all-conference honoree, and 3-time all-state selection. Meister was named to the Class AA State All-Tournament team twice and earned the 2024 Class AA Miss Volleyball award. She closed out her high school career as HHS’s all-time digs leader with 1,827 and broke the single season school record with 590. In her first season with the Jacks, Meister tallied 227 digs, averaging 2.18 per set. She appeared in 28 matches, adding 58 assists and 13 aces. Meister notched a single match high of 16 digs against the University of Minnesota. She is the daughter of Jason and Heidi Meister and sister of Wolves volleyball alumna Abby Schauer.
