Northern State has announced plans to celebrate the completion of renovations to its historic H.P Gerber Building Friday September 19th. The event will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house. The Ribbon cutting will take place from 4:00 to 4:15 p.m. Followed by an open house from 4:15 p.m. To 5:00 p.m. According to a release about the event, the H.P. Gerber Building is one of the oldest buildings on Northern’s campus and is the birthplace of Northern as it first served as a teacher education college. The renovation project began in the spring of 2024 and upon its completion will bring the building into the 21st century.
