Northern to host open house to celebrate completion of H.P. Gerber building renovations

Northern State has announced plans to celebrate the completion of renovations to its historic H.P Gerber Building Friday September 19^th. The event will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house. The Ribbon cutting will take place from 4:00 to 4:15 p.m. Followed by an open house from 4:15 p.m. To 5:00 p.m. According to a release about the event, the H.P. Gerber Building is one of the oldest buildings on Northern’s campus and is the birthplace of Northern as it first served as a teacher education college. The renovation project began in the spring of 2024 and upon its completion will bring the building into the 21^st century.
