One person has been arrested in Roberts county after assaulting law enforcement. According to the Roberts County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred last Tuesday when deputies attempted to arrest a suspect who was out on parole and had an active warrant for assault on law enforcement. According to authorities, the suspect became hostile and attempted to grab a deputy’s taser. A skirmish ensued before the suspect was ultimately placed into custody. The suspect was not identified but faces a host of charges including aggravated assault against law enforcement officers. One officer received minor injuries to their hand but remained on duty.
